Holiday Cocktail #2: Smoked S'mores Cocktail

by Jim Passantino December 10, 2021 2 min read

smores cocktail smoked with Smoke Lid by Aged and Charred

We're putting the Smoke Lid to work with this recipe, double-dipping on our use of the torch.  This smoked S'mores cocktail is a delicious after dinner drink.

Once again, we're getting way outside our comfort zone here as whiskey and bourbon enthusiasts, but we are channeling our inner holiday spirit and making an exception. If you like a White Russian cocktail or one of those chocolate martini things, then this right down your alley.  We start with a chocolatey, graham cracker coated rim.  Shake chocolate liqueur (we substituted Kahlua), vodka, milk and ice together. Hit it with the Smoke Lid using oak flavored wood chips.  Finally, we will garnish with marshmallows toasted using the torch included in the Smoke Lid kit. It's like drinking one of those Godiva liquor filled chocolates (which we know nothing about.) Impossible to have just one. Hits the pallet like butter. If you have a small holiday party to entertain with 6 - 10 guests, fill a tray full of these, walk the room, and you have a room full of happy guests.

Here we go...

  • Ingredients:
    • 1 oz. chocolate Liqueur
    • 1 oz. Vodka
    • Chocolate syrup
    • Graham cracker crumbs
    • 1/4 cup(s) milk
    • Marshmallows, for garnish
  • Directions:
    • Pour chocolate liqueur, milk, and Vodka of choice into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well.
    • Rim a rocks / whiskey glass with chocolate syrup and and then graham cracker crumbs.
    • Add 2 tsp. chocolate syrup to the bottom of your glass.
    • Strain cocktail from shaker into glass.
    • Smoke the drink with Smoke Lid from Aged & Charred.   Allow smoke to settle on top of drink for 10-20 seconds and serve.
    • While smoke is settling on the drink, toast marshmallows with the culinary torch included in the Aged & Charred cocktail smoker kit. (We put them on one of those extra long toothpicks.)
    • Garnish with toasted marshmallows and serve.
